Has anyone taken the Baltic Sea cruise offered by Holland America departing from Copenhagen? If so, could you provide some info about the shore excursions that you took?
I have read some pretty discouraging reviews of the Noordam and was wondering if we should spend the extra money and book with another line???
Thanks! |

| Guess this might be too late for you, but just found this board. We took a 14 day on the Noordam Castles and Cathedrals in Europe and GB. I thought it was a great cruise, and thought the ship was fine. It wasn't brand new, but our room was great, didn't have any of the functional problems i have read about. Staff was excellent. Hope you enjoy your cruies |

My wife and I did the Holland America Baltic Cruise out of Copenhagen July 2006. It was one of the best cruises we have ever done. My wife said it was the very best and she would never forget it. I highly recommend it. I was so impressed we have booked an Asian Cruise with Holland America.
On shore excursions, we did as many as we could and were satisfied with all of them. In St. Petersburg we did the private car excursion with our own car and guide and I highly recommend that - it is well worth the money and the guide we had was fabulous. When you have so little time in such an exotic place, it pays to have a personal guide. That was the highlight of the trip. |
